Credits

The History of Biology was curated by David de Lorenzo, Giustina Director of Special Collections and University Archives. Sources used include: Wikipedia, Encyclopdia Britannica, Boorstin (1983), Wootton (2015), Bryson (2003), and Fara (2010). As a young boy, the exhibit curator learned the work of Linnaeus, Pasteur, and Harvey from A.J. Darin de Lorenzo, Ph.D., M.D., who toiled in laboratories at the Johns Hopkins Medical School and at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, seeking cures for diseases afflicting humankind.

Exhibit design and digitization was provided by Special Projects Archivist, Alexandra Mueller.
