- The Fables of Bidpai came originally from a Sanskrit source. It was brought to Persia in the 6th century A.D. From that version it was translated into Arabic, and from the Arabic into many languages. The best known version is made about the end of the 15th century, by Husain Waiz i Kashifi, entitled Anwar i Suhaili.
