  • H. P. Barnhart Hall became the new name of University Inn.

  • Akbar's Garden (sculpture) sited in Straub Quadrangle across from Erb Memorial Union.
  • Straub Hall addition and renovation. Architect: L. A. Kersh Architecture, Eugene.
  • In 2002, the "O" was adopted as the University's logo.

  • Renovated and expanded Museum of Art opens to the public.

  • UO acquires Williams Bakery site. Site has been considered as possible arena location.
